Anne Peabody

 55 Washington Street, Suite 455

Anne Peabody’s tarnished mirror drawings on silvered glass and installations made of hand carved wood and precious metals are based on images from nature that reflect human challenges and twists of fate. Her works are the result of a technique that entails exposing metals to the oils on her fingers, then to air and heat and allowing oxidization to help create records of both sublime and catastrophic events.

Her work has been exhibited all over the world, including at the Venice Biennale (2009 and 2011), the Millesgården Museum, Stockholm Sweden and 21c Museums in
Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH and Bentonville, AR.
