Alison Knott is an artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Knott received her BFA from the Rhodesian Island School of Design and studied at the Maryland Institute of Art and Pont Aven School of Art in France. Hailed for her detailed naturalistic imagery within surreal contexts she obscures her subjects through new and innovative methods. Recognized for both her paintings and collage works she employs a psychedelic color palette and images of nature. These compositions emit a feeling of controlled upheaval and lawlessness, as she distorts her subjects in absurd ways. She has exhibited internationally from New York to France. Her works are included in Permanent collections in the United States and Europe.
