Rachel Johnston, First, Forsythia (2025). Watercolor and graphite on paper. 10.25 x 10.25 in.

Rachel seeks to uncover and spatialize memories distant and near, sublime and mundane. She leans on analog tools of landscape measurement and works primarily in watercolor and soluble graphite on paper, a medium that she believes afford the many spatial conditions, living processes, ephemera and time scales that our landscape embodies.
