I am a multimedia artist, art educator, and retired psychiatrist. My work explores collage as a metaphor for memory and identity. Combining elements from portraiture, still life, and landscape, I synthesize imaginary tableaux filled with repeated opportunities for new discoveries.

During Dumbo Open Studios, visitors will see a series of large scale collages that celebrate the outdoors. In these works, sweeping vantage points are designed to transport the viewer into the scene, a metaphor for the ability to both observe and participate in life. Flowing compositions are symbolic of the continuum between reality and imagination, between memories and dreams, between past and present.
